A Photo Walk is a self-directed walking tour to explore the area around you through images. Well, at least that is one definition for a Photo Walk. I first heard the term from Scott Kelby, as he promoted Photo Walk events around the globe.

I took the image in this post during a Kansas City, Missouri, self-directed photo walk. I'd driven by this mosaic pattern several times, but only during the walk did it catch my eye. I find this is an excellent time to explore, practice, and take images without boundaries.

Think of using these walks as a time to start a personal project or updating a current project. Do it alone or with a group of like-minded creators. When done, hit a cafe, download your images, and spend some time reviewing the magic you just created.

Happy creating.
